Find wildlife by habitat

Use habitat, time, weather and mapped points together to plan a search.

What does “Remote Forest” mean?

The catalog treats Remote Forest as a distinct habitat tag. It does not provide a verified boundary, distance from a cabin, or a rule such as “drive this far into the trees.” A dense-looking forest is a search cue, not proof that you are in that habitat.

For Sasquatch, start with its species page and area-specific map links. Community directions such as “upper-right corner” omit the map and conditions unless the author supplies them; they are not a substitute for an area-specific point.

Turn a habitat tag into a search plan

These landscape cues are practical suggestions. They do not define the game’s habitat boundaries. The species, condition and map links below come from the site’s catalog and placed-spawn data.

Treat this as a separate habitat tag, not a distance you can measure from a road or cabin. Start with that species’ mapped spawn points; no boundary or minimum remoteness distance has been verified.

4 species tagged Remote Forest. Listed conditions narrow the search; they do not guarantee an animal will be present.

Balinese Tiger

Night · Dry / Wet

No placed spawn points confirmed in the current map data. A catalog habitat entry alone does not establish an obtainable sighting.

Bee

Daytime · Dry

No placed spawn points confirmed in the current map data. A catalog habitat entry alone does not establish an obtainable sighting.

A marker is a place to check

  1. Choose an area linked to the species, then match the listed time of day and weather using the photo-hunt planner.
  2. Check several of that species’ mapped points. An animal may move around its spawn, and a point is not a live animal detector.
  3. Approach without sounding the horn. Use the species’ behavior information where available; alert and roaming distances vary.
  4. Use the Safari Camera tool, center an unobscured subject, and check for a valid target before taking the shot.

There is no verified universal wait time or guaranteed respawn trick here. Turning the engine off is not presented as a confirmed spawn trigger. If conditions match but nothing appears, try another mapped point and record where and when you searched.

Pictures and discoveries are different

Free-camera Photo Mode is useful for composing scenery, but use the Safari Camera tool for Compendium registration. The photo guide explains the indicators and where saved pictures go. Mark your discoveries in the completion dashboard after they register in-game.
