Graphics settings & presets

Over the Hill ships five graphics presets. This is exactly what each one turns on or down — so you can see what to drop for more frames, or what your preset is already giving you.

Desktop default · Ultra

On PC the game starts on its highest preset.

Steam Deck default · High

The game auto-selects a lighter preset on Deck.

Cells dimmed grey are turned off or down at that preset. Anti-Aliasing and Upscaling stay the same across presets — the game leaves those for you to set.

V-Sync

Off by default on every preset. Display Mode and Resolution depend on your hardware, so the game doesn’t preset them.

These are the game’s built-in preset defaults. The actual frame-rate cost of any setting depends on your hardware and resolution.
