Game mechanics
The systems behind the drive — camping, how your truck weathers and takes damage, map fog-of-war, and the recovery gear that gets you unstuck. Exact in-game values.
Camping
Set up camp to pass time and regroup with your party.
Map reveal (fog of war)
The map uncovers around you as you explore.
Damage effects
A fully damaged truck loses performance until you repair it.
Recovery gear
When you're stuck, the winch and planks get you moving.
Weathering — dirt, mud, snow & wet
How quickly your truck picks up and sheds the elements (seconds to reach the limit).
Meteorite extraction
Meteorites glow at night — hook one with the winch and drag it free to earn Pebbles. Bigger rocks are worth more, but the heaviest need a full party pulling together.
| Size | Value | Drivers to extract |
|---|---|---|
| Very small | 15 Pebbles | Solo |
| Small | 20 Pebbles | Solo |
| Medium | 30 Pebbles | Solo |
| Large | 40 Pebbles | 2 drivers |
| Very large | 50 Pebbles | 2 drivers |
| Huge | 60 Pebbles | 3 drivers |
| Very huge | 80 Pebbles | 4 drivers |
Cabins & fast travel
Cabins fully restore your truck and equipped tools, act as respawn points, and let you fast-travel to any you've already discovered. Each one also uncovers nearby points of interest on the map.
Values are the game’s raw configuration constants and reflect the current demo build.
